Ranelagh Club Members appreciate that we are truly lucky to be in Mount Eliza – the entry into our unique Mornington Peninsula – where the ever increasing range of fresh local produce, specialist breweries, boutique coffee roasters and talented local designers and artists who amaze and spoil us with their products and works, are on our doorstep.<\/p>\n
So when the opportunity arose for us to host a Wine Appreciation evening showcasing the wines of Trofeo Estate in Dromana, one of an\u00a0impressive array of vineyards down this way, paired with the delicious menu created specifically for this evening by our talented Chef Shane Smith, taste-buds were tingling in anticipation.<\/p>\n
Lori Smith, Operations Manager at Trofeo Estate, informed us throughout the dinner of the intricacies of their range of wines being matched – Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, & Chardonnay to name a few – their specialist techniques and unique philosophies. We all agreed the wines were multi dimensional and complex yet beautifully balanced as well.<\/p>\n
Gratitude to all the staff – front and back of house, admin, and to the Trofeo Estate team too! – as well as all Ranelagh Members and their guests who attended. Until the next Wine Appreciation Evening, here are some moments of the evening to savour!<\/p>\n

What a way to finish off the month,\u00a0 a Wine Appreciation Evening with Foxeys Hangout!<\/p>\n
Foxeys Hangout has received numerous Gold Medals and nine trophies, including Best Wine in Show from the Victorian Wine Show two years running.\u00a0 The Wines selected were superb, and the matching food simply delicious.\u00a0 Fantastic effort by Chef, Shane Smith, kitchen staff, waiting staff and of course Michael Lee from Foxeys Hangout for his expertise.<\/p>\n
Thanks also to all Members and their guests who turned up and thoroughly enjoyed the cooler March event too.<\/p>\n
